An advanced DSP amplifier was developed for the sound system of SRTTM line of DaimlerCrysler. The amplifier has 8 channels of 25Wt each and provides surround sound capability. The audio processing is done with the Analog Devices BlackFinTM DSP. The amplifier is integrated into vehicle's onboard CAN network. The BlackFinTM BF-531 DSP is operating at 400MHz. Each of 8 channels has ajustable crossover filters, 8-band parametric equalizer, 3-band tone control, engine RPM and vehicle speed dependent volume control with loudness compensation, dynamic range compressor, delay line, post mixer and output soft limiter. |
